Best Free Antivirus

I am writing this topic because I have rich experience of using different antivirus (free of course) softwares and the other thing is that I am not selling any brand of antivirus program, so I can be honest to you. Please note that I am not a software developer, but just sharing my experience about such things with you.

OK. So, which is the best free antivirus software over the net? You will find many answers to this question like AVG, NOD 32, Avast and so on… But let me tell you the reality I have experienced. Though you download free antivirus software, it will come with a limited time period of 15 or 30 days only. Then after, you have to re-install the software and re-update its virus database (or definitions). Virus definitions mean the various virus signatures, which is known to the antivirus software.

So, considering this issues, I give full marks to Avast antivirus (Home Edition). It comes with 60 days demo license and 14 months with registration key entered. The registration is quite simple indeed. Just give your email address and they will provide immediately an email to you having registration key. Just give that key to register Avast antivirus and you have done! Even after 14 months, you can re-register your antivirus and get new registration key without disabling the software.

And yes, it is very good in virus detecting and also has a very good on-access scanner, which scans everything you do on your computer (like internet connections, installations etc…). If you accidentally download a virus or other malware, the on-access scanner will warn you for that. Users on www.cnet.com have given it 8.9 point out of 10, which shows its popularity and usefulness.
