As I have mentioned before, Google Page Creator service is good for a newbie at website making. But if you are really serious about your website and its design and function, then you should do two things first: (1) Find a free web hosting provider and (2) Find a free tool to design a website.

· Free Web Hosting Providers:

If you want to make a static website (which means that the visitors can only read or see your content on the website), then there are hundreds of free web hosting providers with WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) tools.

But if you want to make a dynamic website (like blogs, in which visitor can post comments or like a login requiring website), then there are some precautions you have to take. First of all, see that which language support they provide (like MySQL, PHP, Perl etc…). second, see that the service is totally Free Of Their Ads on your website. Also, see for their conditions that you must follow, because some of the sites are requiring that you must login once after some time period in their forum or else. I have seen some sites providing free service for only some time-period, like 6 months or 1 year.

As I should mention, I am currently using www.freehostia.com as a free hosting provider. It has very good support for languages and other things. What they lack is only the WYSIWYG editor, because they have only basic HTML editor. But it’s OK, due to the fact that one should rely on a Web Designing Tool installed on computer for designing a website.

So, let’s have talk about such free Web Designing Tools.

· Free Web Designing Tools:

Just search (I mean Google it!) for these tools and you will get many-many tools. I use Macromedia Dreamweaver MX for creating and editing websites. It’s really an advanced tool for such work. You can edit HTML as well as CSS with ease. I studied its working using the Help section in it. Of course, if you want to learn advanced things (in any field), you must be patient.

Now, in web designing, should one start from a scratch, or should use free web templates. I recommend using web templates. You can easily modify them as your needs. A good website providing simple and effective free web templates is www.oswd.org. There are many other sites also, providing free web templates, just Google it!
